File # 2021-6230
In line with their mandate to investigate drug trafficking and address concerns from the community, Langley Drug Section started an investigation into a dial-a-dope crime group found to be trafficking suspected cocaine and fentanyl in Langley (with links to the Okanagan).
On May 5th Langley Drug Section executed three search warrants - two in Langley with the assistance of the Langley RCMP Strike Force and a third at a residence in Vernon with the assistance of the Vernon RCMP Targeted Policing Unit.
Two individuals were arrested and later released pending charge approval. As a result of enforcement action taken on May 5th, police have seized two vehicles, one being a 2021 Range Rover, multiple ounces of cocaine and fentanyl, stacks of cash believed to be proceeds of crime, as well as ammunition, and three firearms that were illegally possessed and/or stored.
Charges will be recommended against a number of individuals associated to the management and operation of this dial-a-dope drug line. This is part of Langley RCMP’s effort to address drug trafficking concerns in our Community and the potential violence associated to this type of Crime.
Langley RCMP is dedicated to targeting these types of activities to prevent Public Safety issues directly associated with them. We encourage our citizens to continue to be pro-active and vigilant in reporting suspicious activities by calling our non emergency line.
