Homicide in Langley

Langley, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team

On April 21st, just after 9:00 a.m., Langley RCMP was called to the 20100 block of 91A Avenue after a report of shots fired was received. Upon police attendance, an adult victim was located suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all attempts to revive the individual they succumbed to their injuries.
 
Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Langley RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, no further information will be provided at this time. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
