File # 2021-11338 & 11357
A man and a woman will be heading to court after being caught with stolen vehicles in Langley yesterday.
The woman was arrested in a stolen truck from Coquitlam. The black Ford F350 had been reported stolen at 3:30 a.m. Just after 6:00 a.m., Langley RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle travelling up and down a Langley street very slowly. Police attended and located the vehicle in the 20700 block of 42 Avenue. They followed the truck to a residence in the 4000 block of 204B Street and arrested the driver, a female, as she exited the vehicle.
A search incidental to the arrest resulted in the seizure of identification for various people.
Later in the morning, a white Ford Fusion was stolen from a construction site on Glover Road. The vehicle was located a short distance away as it parked on a dead end of Old Yale Road near the Langley Bypass. The driver exited the vehicle and was arrested by police. He was found to have debit and credit cards that had been left in the Fusion by the registered owner.
Both the 25-year-old Langley woman and the 46-year-old male of no fixed address were released from custody to appear in court later this year. All the evidence will be compiled and presented to the BC Prosecution Service for their consideration of charges.
