File # 2021-3072

Police need your help to identify woman caught on video stealing a wallet right out of an elderly lady’s purse.

On January 27th, a Langley woman called RCMP to report her wallet had been stolen as she shopped at London Drugs. She could feel someone remove it from her purse and when she turned around, she found a woman who offered to help her search. Little did she know, her ‘helper’ was actually the thief.

The ‘helper’ walked around the store with her victim in search of the lost wallet. Of course, the wallet was never found…

A review of the surveillance footage clearly shows the female suspect reach into the elderly woman’s purse and remove her wallet. The thief quickly busies herself studying products on a nearby display and then offers her assistance to search for the wallet.
