Langley RCMP remains dedicated to improving public safety on our roadways. Over the Holiday Season, officers conducted enforcement to ensure everyone got to their destination safely. Extra officers were brought in to assist our Traffic Section, resulting in a number of charges:
 

65 Impaired Drivers Apprehended and Charged

14 Suspended / Prohibited Drivers Apprehended and Charged
 

Sergeant Matthew LaBelle, Langley RCMP Traffic Commander, offers the following, Impaired driving continues to be a concern which is evidenced by the 65 impaired drivers charged over the month of December. What’s equally concerning is the number of charges for Impaired Driving due to drug use. Our officers will continue to make Impaired Driving a priority and we encourage the public to report impaired drivers. If you plan to drink, please don’t drive.
