Police seeking suspect vehicle in hit and run

Langley RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle involved in a hit and run that sent two men to hospital and damaged four vehicles.

On March 21, 2023 at 5:45 pm, Langley RCMP received multiple reports of a four vehicle collision at 240 street and Fraser Highway. Frontline officers responded and learned the cause of the collision, a black SUV, had fled leaving behind three considerably damaged vehicles and two injured drivers.

Investigation has determined the black SUV had been traveling west on Fraser Highway following a Mazda Tribute. As the vehicles passed 240 Street, the black SUV pulled out into the east bound lanes in an attempt to pass the Tribute. A black Dodge pickup and a White Chevrolet pickup were approaching east on Fraser Highway. The black SUV sideswiped the Tribute causing the Tribute to lose control colliding head on with the front driver side of the oncoming Dodge pickup truck. The Tribute then spun and struck the Chevrolet pick up truck head on. The black SUV fled west on Fraser Highway, initially traveling on the east bound shoulder. The driver of the Tribute and the Dodge pick up were taken to area hospital by ambulance.

The suspect vehicle pictured below, is best be described as a black SUV. The vehicle would have minor damage to the front or passenger side.
