Langley RCMP investigating a fatal pedestrian collision on 264 St and 28 Ave

 On 2024-01-15 just after 7:00 am, the Langley RCMP responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car in the 2800 block of 264 Street.

BC Emergency Health Services attended and provided emergency care for the pedestrian who has been transported to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Speed or alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors.

Langley RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team, Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service remain on scene investigating.

At this time, it is expected that the investigation will be continuing for the majority of the day. 264th Street will remain closed to all traffic north/south bound during this period. Please use alternate routes during this time.
