File # 2020-6082

Officers of Langley’s Prolific Offender Team patrolling South Langley yesterday (February 19th) coincidentally recognize a male they knew to be the subject of a driving prohibition. He happened to be operating a motorcycle at the time.

They were able to move in and arrest him without incident. Police checks revealed the 41 year old man was the subject of a Canada Wide Warrant for breaching the conditions of his statutory release. He had been at large since November 5th of last year.

More checks indicated the motorcycle he was operating was stolen from an Aldergrove residence on Christmas Day of 2019.

A search incidental to the arrest netted a small quantity of what is believed to be methamphetamine.

Investigators will prepare a package on the new offences and submit to the BC Prosecution Service for their consideration. In the meantime, the Statutory Release Offender will remain incarcerated….
