Coquitlam RCMP are inviting the public to a community outreach event following the recent shootings that have taken place in Coquitlam.

This community event will provide residents and businesses an opportunity to ask questions about community safety in their neighbourhood.

We understand that these shootings have caused significant concerns to the community and people may have questions about their safety, said Inspector Darren Carr, Operations Support Officer for Coquitlam RCMP. The public is encouraged to attend this outreach event on Saturday, January 13, 2024. This is a time for residents, community members and the public to come together, voice their concerns, ask questions and connect with resources.

The event will be an opportunity for the public to engage with Coquitlam RCMP by addressing community concerns by providing emotional support, education and access to additional resources onsite. These resources include: Victim Services, Community Police Volunteers, Police Officers, home and personal safety information, and Block Watch information.
