Police seeking suspect vehicle in hit and run

Langley RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle involved in a hit and run that sent a pedestrian to hospital.

On May 20, 2023 at approximately 10:50 p.m. Langley RCMP received reports of pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Frontline officers responded to the 4600 block of 272 Street and located a 28-year-old Alberta man with significant but non life threatening leg injuries.

Investigation has determined the injured man had been walking along the east side of 272 Street when a vehicle travelling northbound struck him from behind knocking him into a nearby parked car. The vehicle did not stop and continued north on 272 Street. The pedestrian was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The suspect vehicle is best be described as a light colored silver or gray car. The vehicle will have noticeable damage to the front passenger side.

Police are asking anyone who may have observed the collision or has surveillance or dash cam video from the area to contact the Langley RCMP.
